Since then a lot has happened. First of all, they picked six more players in rounds 2-7. Immediately after that, they began signing undrafted free agents. Soon after the draft was completed, Peter King released one of his long reads and there was a lot of Raiders in it because King was at the Raiders facility, spending the day with the Raiders and getting what seemed to be a firsthand account of their draft strategy. Meanwhile the rest of us media schmucks were in the media room.King paints a picture of a draft room in which Gruden was a bundle of nerves, eager to get on the phone and trade up at every turn to get the guys he wants, fearing they won’t be on the board when the Raiders select. And Mayock being “the adult in the room”, calming the “Golden Retriever” that was Jon Gruden.Mayock and Gruden didn’t go into such details in their press conference following the first round. But following day two https://www.raiderslockerroom.com/authentic-derek-carr-jersey , Mayock talked about having two players on his board when they reached their pick at 35 overall. This was the reason he felt comfortable trading down to 38 and then 40 before selecting Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen.Who was that other player besides Mullen? Well, we have our ideas. We discuss that, the King report, the rest of the Raiders draft picks and more in our S&B Pridecast draft wrap.If you’d like to listen to our day one wrap pod first, or just go back and listen to it afterward, you can hear that here:You can subscribe to the Silver & Black Pride podcast network at the below links:Apple podcastsGoogle podcastsGoogle playSpotifyStitcher Raiders News2019 NFL schedule: Exec would 'love a re-do' for Raiders, BuccaneersThe Buccaneers and Raiders both face six-week stretches in which they play on the road four times and lack a true..."Raiders News2019 NFL schedule: Exec would 'love a re-do' for Raiders, BuccaneersThe Buccaneers and Raiders both face six-week stretches in which they play on the road four times and lack a true home game.NFL schedule: Raiders, Bucs will go 49 without home games, fans upsetThe Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have two the of the strangest schedules in the NFL this season.Silver & Black Pride community 7-round Raiders 2019 draft prediction contest - Silver And Black PrideThe Raiders currently have 8 picks to work with in the draft this year.
